Privacy Policy

  • Replaced the pre-launch waitlist notice with a policy covering Fenrid Accounts and the full Services.
  • Added clear explanations of community messages, end-to-end encrypted direct messages, encrypted attachments, trusted devices, and report-related decryption.
  • Clarified that AI does not read user content and that Fenrid does not use content to train, fine-tune, or evaluate AI or machine-learning models.
  • Added information about optional on-device noise suppression without server-side content analysis.
  • Added information about PhotoDNA hash matching for supported unencrypted image and GIF uploads.
  • Added information about voice and realtime data, security events, anti-fraud device intelligence, payments, subscriptions, Fenrid Credits, reports, and evidence.
  • Updated the service-provider section to cover Supabase, Vercel, Cloudflare, Microsoft Azure, Stripe, Resend, Fingerprint, Upstash, and Microsoft PhotoDNA.
  • Added category-based retention information, including ordinary report evidence generally retained for up to one year.
  • Added account-deletion, international-processing, privacy-rights, cookie, local-storage, security, legal-request, and younger-user sections.

Terms of Service

  • Published Fenrid's first full Terms of Service.
  • Confirmed that users retain ownership of their content.
  • Limited Fenrid's content licence to operating, securing, maintaining, and enforcing the Services.
  • Contractually excluded AI training, AI evaluation, behavioural advertising, sale, and unrelated commercial use of User Content.
  • Added rules for Accounts, encryption passphrases, trusted devices, Servers, moderators, integrations, and early-access features.
  • Added subscription cancellation rules. Cancellation prevents renewal and access normally continues through the paid billing period.
  • Added future Fenrid Credits rules. Credits are account-bound, non-transferable, non-refundable except where law requires otherwise, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • Added EU and EEA withdrawal-right language for recurring digital services and immediately delivered Credits.
  • Added enforcement, appeals, copyright, service availability, liability, governing-law, and dispute provisions.
  • Confirmed that the Terms do not require private arbitration or waive mandatory consumer rights.

Community Guidelines

  • Published Fenrid's first platform-wide Community Guidelines.
  • Added rules covering harassment, hateful conduct, violence, extremism, child safety, adult sexual content, self-harm, illegal activity, cybersecurity abuse, privacy, scams, spam, manipulation, deceptive media, intellectual property, and reporting abuse.
  • Added specific responsibilities for Server Owners and moderators.
  • Added reporting, enforcement, and appeal processes.
  • Clarified that stricter local Server rules are allowed, but local rules cannot permit conduct prohibited across Fenrid.
